But What About This God?
Bill and Lisa
Bill and I went on a short-term missionary trip to Guatemala in 2010 with the Christian Motorcyclists Assn. We got home, and I told Bill we were moving back for good. I got lots of eye rolls and "no we aren't" remarks.
I don't often say I hear God speaking to me, but when He does, it's blatently obvious, and I can't ignore it. I reminded Bill that God had already moved us once, and it was happening again. Bill was not happy. We were preparing to go, went to Florida to do our training with our sending agency, and all along the way, Bill kept saying , "But what about this, God?" and whatever the issue was, God took care of it. We needed to sell the pickup. Gone within 24 hours. We needed to sell my car, had someone take over payments. We needed to sell most of our belongings...had a yard sale without putting prices on anything. We made 10 x what Bill expected to make. God taking care of it all. About 3 weeks before we were to leave, the renter who was going to move into the house fell through. Bill stood in the living room,
looked at the ceiling and said, "But what about this, God?" 20 minutes later, a friend from church called. Her son had just gotten a job in town and needed a home to rent
We left for Guatemala 3 weeks later...
Faith in Action
